Volunteer Recruitment Process

  1. Register your interest by completing the sign-up form on our website. You’ll need to include a current CV and the details of two referees we can contact. List your talents and skills as well as any specific areas of interest. Don’t underestimate yourself. Got a flair for doodling or public speaking skills? Let us know! And don’t forget to indicate your availability.
  2. Allow us some time to review your registration and get back to you. We’ll try to be as speedy as possible, but please allow three weeks.
  3. We like to meet with all potential volunteers so you can ask us any questions and we can give you a good overview of what opportunities are available. Volunteer recruitment days are held approximately once every three months. Please note we may need to contact referees following your interview.
  4. High-fives at your volunteer interview and your Working with Children Check is current? Hooray! We’ll be holding volunteer training day. You’ll need to allow one weekend morning or afternoon to get to know our programs, policies and procedures. All volunteers are required to complete this induction, but don’t worry, it’ll be fun!
  5. Sign-up for our volunteer newsletter and put your hand up for any opportunities that interest you. We can’t wait to get you started!

Please note, all volunteer positions are conditional on 100 Story Building staff receiving no inappropriate information about potential volunteers and while we appreciate the enthusiasm of all volunteers, we are not obligated to appoint volunteer positions.
