Case Study: Wyndham City Council
Wyndham City Council worked with 100 Story Building in consulting with children in the lead-up to developing the Council’s Middle Years Strategy.
Wyndham Council’s initial consultation process centred on a survey sent to schools and parent interviews, but through a partnership with 100 Story Building incorporated three hands-on workshops to gather rich data and evidence from three cohorts of young people in the middle years age group.
100 Story Building designed and delivered a workshop focused on the following provocations:
• If you could provide an activity for 8-12 year olds, what would it be?
• If you were mayor for a day, what would you change?
The resulting report was a key tool for Council’s strategy development, with detailed guidance regarding youth perspectives on programming, public space, and community resources.
