Early Harvest 7 Launch

It is the stuff that dreams are made of.

On 10 November, fourteen young editors will come together to launch 100 Story Building’s annual children’s fiction publication Early Harvest 7.

The editors, in Year 5 and 6, are from six schools in Greater Dandenong. The schools collaborated with 100 Story Building for our annual publishing program Early Harvest. During Term 1 and 2, we held story-writing workshops with the students and professional development workshops with the teachers. We also invited authors such as Davina Bell and Tony Wilson to discuss creative writing with the students.

Fourteen students volunteered to become editors of the publication. They selected ‘Dreams’ as the theme of this year’s Early Harvest. Over term 3, The young editors invited story submissions, selected authors, commissioned artists, edited stories, created illustration briefs and ultimately produced the literary publication.

Early Harvest 7 features stories by 14 young Australian writers and the Australian Children’s Laureate Morris Gleitzman! Read more about Early Harvest 7.

We invite all 100 Story Building supporters to join in celebrating the young editors by attending the launch!
