The Early Harvest program is so much more than a writing project — it’s a life-changing creative journey where young people become editors, collaborators, illustrators, and published authors.
Guided by our passionate facilitators and supported by professional writers and artists, students take ownership of the creative process — shaping a professionally printed book that reflects their ideas, their voices, and their stories.
But the impact doesn't end with those who create it. Every child who picks up an Early Harvest book and sees the words of someone their own age is inspired to believe, “That could be me.”
The program sparks not just a love of storytelling, but the confidence to express oneself — planting the seeds of creativity, agency, and belonging in hundreds of young readers each year.
