Thanks for your interest in working with us, but applications have closed for now. We’re assessing the applications we’ve received and will be in touch in early 2024.

Do you love a good story? Do you know what makes a story good? If your imagination's as big as a narwhal, and creativity is your thing, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking an addition to our team that will expand our storytelling in new ways, beyond our current knowledge and experience. The children and young people we create with are from diverse backgrounds, and we are keen to see this reflected in our program team. We encourage people from culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds to apply, and people with a lived experience shared by our communities.

As a Workshop Facilitator, you will share your love of creativity and story with children and young people from diverse backgrounds, encouraging a passion for stories and finding joy in their creations.

Working within an existing program, you will deliver workshops to school groups, children, young people and their families in our new creative space in Footscray, or in school environments. Training in our programs is provided.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be part of a small team with big ideas about delivering social impact in the community. You will also work with a team of dedicated volunteers to help young writers navigate the creative process.

This role requires storytelling skills and experience with workshop delivery.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of existing programs

  • Contribution to the design of new content and programming.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A background in creative program delivery and development, using a range of art forms and mediums.

  • Experience in engaging children and young people in creative programs, particularly children and young people from culturally, linguistically and socially diverse backgrounds.

  • Creative approach to opportunities and issues.
