JULY NEWS | Programs spotlight, thanks for supporting Write the Future, Story Hubs Forum

It’s the depths of winter, Term 3 is upon us but here at 100 Story Building we’ve hardly been hibernating. In fact, we have been embracing Shellbert*  here in our HQ since the launch of the Perfectly Normal Human Writers Semester 1 Anthology “Snail Trails - A Matter of Slugs & Salt.”

The pages are coming to life in our Early Harvest Program, with young illustrators creating some amazing illustrations for the book.

The team have been out and about across the state, running inspiring creative workshops with young people in Geelong, Kensington and McKinnon.

We have a free Professional Learning offering for teachers, library leads and those interested in networking with educator peers. This Story Hubs Forum session will focus on creative pedagogies and implementing them in the classroom. We will share some of the principles of our Story Hubs (co-designed creative spaces in schools and libraries) program which harnesses creativity and story making with young people.

And we are excited to welcome back Ella Bucovaz our Marketing and Fundraising Manager who has returned from maternity leave and has already been inducted into the ways of Shellbism.*  (Hello! )

*Shellbert (Noun: The gigantic snail upon which society takes place, and the object of worship in Shellbism)
*Shellbism (Noun: The religion that practices worship of Shellbert, governed by slug priests)
