Our Mission

Our mission is to provide opportunities for children and young people in our community to build the literacy skills, creativity, confidence and sense of belonging that are fundamental to future success.

Why Creative Literacy Matters

Creative literacy helps children and young people develop the skills they need to thrive in school, work and life. Through storytelling, they build literacy, confidence, creativity, resilience and a stronger sense of belonging.

But not every child has equal access to the opportunities and support they need to develop these skills. Educational outcomes remain strongly linked to disadvantage, with students in low-ICSEA communities experiencing significant gaps in literacy achievement.

At 100 Story Building, we use creative writing and storytelling to change this story, creating engaging, accessible opportunities for young people to strengthen their literacy skills, find their voice and imagine a future full of possibility.
