Centre for Multicultural Youth and Sacred Heart College Geelong
100 Story Building partnered with Centre for Multicultural Youth’s Refugee Education Support Program (RESP) to support students of refugee background across three schools, including Sacred Heart College in Geelong.
At Sacred Heart, a cohort of students aged 13–17 were present in class but not participating. Many lacked confidence to speak, ask for help or share their perspectives, limiting both their learning and sense of belonging.
The school identified a clear need to strengthen student voice, build peer connection and create more inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, heard and valued.
In response to this need, 100 Story Building designed a responsive, trauma-informed creative program to support students to connect, build confidence and begin expressing their stories in their own ways.
