SEPTEMBER NEWS | Counting down

Image description: A rooftop scene from the cover illustration by Beau Parsons for Write Fight Flee!, the 2023 Early Harvest book. A person with long blue hair stands in the doorway of a train carriage and waves at another disconnected carriage, where through a window we see a man in a blue suit and sunglasses running towards them. The train is passing behind a helicopter and a tall building; a window on the building is has been smashed outwards.

Counting down to launch!

We have so many projects on the go at the moment - and entering their final stages! We've started counting down to the launch of the next Early Harvest book, our three new Story Hubs, and our next round of holiday workshops. It's not long now until they're ready to blast off! 🚀

After three terms of creative work from students across Melbourne, this year’s Early Harvest book, Write Fight Flee!, is officially off to press! You can get a glimpse of the cover design above, and see the full cover in our enews. The work isn’t quite over for our young editors, or program co-ordinator Brenna Ternus - they still have to officially launch the book on 28 October! Watch out for news of that soon. And if you want your school to get involved, applications are now open for the 2024 Early Harvest program. Will your young writers be the ones to make our thirteenth book?

Plus our Story Hubs are in an advanced stage of being built (get a peek at them in the enews); our next round of 100 Story Holidays programs is coming up soon; and one of our Definitely Normal Human Writers has been published in The Westsider!
