These school holidays we’re running two big holiday workshops at 100 Story Building. Magic Time Dinosaurs (Prep- Year 2) invites young adventurers to imagine what happens when dinosaurs stomp through a classroom, bringing their stories to life with stories, drawings and colourful dioramas. For our older writers in school year levels 3-6, The Library of Unwritten Futures opens its mysterious doors for two days of creative discovery, as kids dream up unwritten worlds and bring them to life through storytelling and art. Hurry, there's only two spots left for the Library of Unwritten Futures!
At Broadmeadows Valley Primary School, students have been turning their imagination into action. They explored themes of Joy, Danger Zone, Cosiness, and Earth, which are now inspiring a brand-new Story Hub co-design. Artist Benjamin Allder is transforming their ideas and mysterious stories into a space full of intrigue, ancient echoes, and hidden secrets, a sneak peek already shows the space is going to be something truly special.
Meanwhile, Creative Club brought The Imaginative World of Eegge to life, with kids building maps, staging battles, and even drafting treaties for peace. The Perfectly Normal Human Writers jumped into filmmaking this term, creating three bold and imaginative short films.
We’re also on the lookout for a new Creative Learning Lead! If you love sparking imagination in schools and communities, enjoy storytelling, and want to design learning adventures that help young people find their voice, build confidence, and feel like the heroes of their own stories, this role could be for you. You’ll design and deliver programs, support volunteers, and help bring joy and creativity to everything we do.
We hope your Spring Holidays are full of fun, and we can’t wait to welcome you back next term!
