During the school holidays, join us to make your own unique stories! These lively creative workshops are rooted in storytelling but feature everything from short stories and comics to podcasts, games, models and more!
Our holiday workshops and programs run at our Story LAB, and in partnership with libraries, councils and festivals across Melbourne to make stories in your own neighbourhood.

What do we do on our holidays?
Get Inspired
You don’t need to bring anything to our holiday workshops except your imagination!* Our facilitators are also professional writers, actors, game designers and illustrators, and they know how to get your brain warmed up with prompts and activities so you’ll be bursting with ideas.
*And lunch for our all-day workshops.
Take Your Story Home
We love all kinds of stories, and whatever you make it’s yours to keep. You might create a comic book, a choose your own adventure story, a recording of a spoken word story with sound effects, a puppet or a model with a whole story behind it, a board, card or other game complete with rules… And you can continue the story at home!
Tell Your Own Story
Our facilitators will get you started with a theme, and guide you with a structure, but the stories you create at 100 Story Building are uniquely yours.
Your monster adventure might be a fantastic tale set in another world, or it could happen around the corner from home and star your Mum and Dad or favourite toy. It’s up to you!
